Easy and Delicious Southern Pecan Pie

This traditional southern pecan pie recipe has been passed down through the years! It has stood the test of time so you can be confident that is it delicious! And it's so easy!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine melted and cooled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 4 eggs whisked together well
  • 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp flour or cornstarch
  • 1 cup pecan halves or chopped if you prefer
  • 1 9 inch deep dish frozen pie crust

Instructions

  • Whisk all ingredients together well.
  • Pour into pie crust.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 60-70 minutes. (Put a piece of foil over it at around 45 minutes of baking if it looks brown enough to keep it from getting burned on top.)
  • Let cool completely before serving.
  • Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or as is!
