- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion (minced)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (fresh or dried)
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- ¼ cup sugar
Preheat oven to 300°.
Line a baking dish with aluminum foil or grease the dish.
Soak bread crumbs in milk for a few minutes.
Combine soaked bread crumbs with meat, onion, salt, and pepper.
Mix gently to incorporate everything and form into patties.
Sear in a hot pan on both sides to achieve a dark brown color.
Combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, and sugar and stir until smooth.
Place seared patties in prepared baking dish and cover with sauce. You may not need all of the sauce.
Bake in 300° oven for 30-40 minutes.
Serve on toasted hamburger buns.
