If you are an avid reader you probably have a “To Read” list that you update often and are always looking for your next great read. I am constantly asking my “reader” friends to recommend favorites. I also look on Pinterest and I do internet searches for popular books. Another great way I find my next book is to subscribe to book blogs that have informative reviews, book lists, and recommendations according to books I have enjoyed. If you need more book recommendations then you can always look at the reviews on this blog, but here are a few others you might enjoy as well. Happy reading!
Note: The links to the books are affiliate links. That means, if you purchase one of these books through the link, What A Good Day will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. The opinions are my own. We appreciate your support!

The first book blog that I ever followed was Modern Mrs. Darcy. Her blog has grown to include numerous posts on most every reading topic you can imagine, an online book club, podcasts, and more. Her “What Should I Read Next” podcast is very popular. She also does a post montlhly entitled “What I’ve been reading lately: the new and the notable” that I like to checkout. Her blog is full of so many amazing posts that you can get lost clicking around there. I definitely recommend Modern Mrs. Darcy as a blog that any avid reader will love. Click here to visit Modern Mrs. Darcy. You can follow Modern Mrs. Darcy on Facebook and Instagram as well.
Booklist Queen is the most recent book blog that I subscribed to. One plus for me is that her blog is not huge and it is easy to navigate. I like her writing style for the reviews and I really like her newsletters. I enjoy how she reviews the “hot new releases” each month. Right now she has a post, The Ultimate Summer Reading List 2023, that has several books that I have added to my summer list. Her blog is one I would recommend if you want a smaller blog to navigate. Click here to visit Booklist Queen. Booklist Queen is also on Facebook and Instagram.
I first discovered Hooked to Books through their posts on Facebook. I would visit the site when I saw something that interested me. This blog is pretty large! There is so much there. They have sections of book reviews, and have posts featuring individual authors’ books listed in order. This is great if you want to read everything by a certain author. They also have gadget reviews for the newest reading technology that is available. This blog has a staff of several people and a large group of post contributors so you can get varied perspectives from people who love certain genres or authors. This one is definitely worth checking out. Click here to visit Hooked to Books. You can also follow Hooked to Books on Facebook and Instagram.
Melissa and Angela are best friends who started this book blog in 2019 because of their love of reading. I just discovered this blog a few months ago and I have enjoyed reading many of their posts. I really do like their reading challenges, such as, Read Around the USA, Read Around the World, Decades Reading Challenge, and many more! They have some booklists by genre which makes it easy to find your favorite and they have resources for book clubs. With so many different booklists you will for sure find a great book or ten to add to your list! Click here to visit Book Girls’ Guide. Or follow them on Facebook or Instagram.
I have been following Reese’s Book Club for a few years now. I have found many books that I have enjoyed through this blog. By following this blog on Instagram and Facebook you can keep up to date on each month’s pick. Reece picks a book each month that features a woman as the central character. The books are varied but are generally very popular. You can also go on Instagram from the blog to “chat” about the book of the month. One of my favorite features on her blog is her Complete List of Book Club Picks Since 2017. There are so many great titles listed. If you like reading a book a month or just getting recommendations this is a great blog to follow. Click here to visit Reese’s Book Club.

I’ve always loved to learn. Perhaps that’s part of the reason I became a teacher. I especially love learning through one of my favorite hobbies: reading. A book can be great for a lot of reasons, but if you’re looking for a book you’ll enjoy reading that will also teach you something, I have a…
