Authors With Books Galore You’ll Love to Read
Do you have some favorite authors that you read everything they write? Most of us who are lovers of reading do have our favorite books, authors, and genres. I am going to share with you a few of my favorites. As I share these, they are in no particular order. It is hard to pick my most favorite author or book. There are so many that I would continually be changing my mind! Are you with me on that?

Author: Kristin Hannah
I discovered Kristen Hannah years ago and I have read and enjoyed most everything she has written. Some I do love more than others, but all have their merit. She is an author who focuses on relationships, life events, and personal growth in her characters. The first of her books that I read was The Nightingale, and it is my favorite. It is a powerful story about two very different sisters set in WWII. This incredible book caused me to fall in love with Hannah’s writing. Two other titles that I enjoyed were The Great Alone and Magic Hour (retitled as Wild in 2021). Both were stories of resilience and determination.
Author: JoJo Moyes
The first book that I read of Jojo Moyes was Me Before You. I enjoyed that book and was compelled to finish the trilogy when those were released. They are basically about navigating love and loss, growth and carrying on. I enjoyed those, but my favorite of hers is The Giver of Stars. This book is about five women who become friends after they become packhorse librarians who deliver books to people in the remote regions of Kentucky. It is an incredible story of the depth of friendship, unending determination, and self discovery. The Giver of Stars is a definite must read!

Author: Charles Martin
Oh, Charles Martin, please continue to write your stories! To me, he is a gifted storyteller. He has an easy way about his writing that just seems to flow. The first book from him that I read was The Mountain Between Us. Once you read that one, you will most likely want to read everything he has written. His Murphy Shepherd Series that begins with The Water Keeper is a compelling three book series about human trafficking that will keep you captivated. Send Down the Rain is equally good, as are his other books. If you have not read any Charles Martin I would recommend you trying one out.
Author: Ruth Ware
Ruth Ware books are just the thing if you want a thriller that is a little creepy and has twists and turns. Her style has been compared to Agatha Christie, and all of her books do give that feeling. The first of her books that I read was The Woman in Cabin 10. A journalist’s luxury cruise becomes a nightmare when she believes she witnesses a woman being thrown overboard. The mystery deepens when everyone on the ship is accounted for. After reading that one, I read all of her books. I enjoyed each one so much that I do not have a favorite among them. Ware’s newest book, Zero Days, is fast paced and a page turner so be sure to check it out.
Liane Moriarty
Liane Moriarty is an Australian author. I first read What Alice Forgot and then continued to read more of her work. Her books are generally about relationships, secrets, family drama, and the consequences of choices. Her characters are complex and her plot lines will keep the story moving along quickly. I have enjoyed all of her books, and it is hard to choose, but my favorite would be The Husband’s Secret. While her husband is on a business trip, Cecilia opens a letter that is intended to be opened only after his death. The consequences of this act will be intensely felt in her own life as well as the lives of others. If you have not tried reading any of Liane Moriarty’s books then give them a try!
Audible is a great way to listen to books while driving, multitasking, etc. Once you try it you'll never go back!

I always check out your recommended reading list. I do have problems with my eye sight so Larry down loads audible books to my MP3 player and I listen to books this way. It has worked out so well for me that he has started doing it for our moms. Thank you for your recommendations.
When I thought of trying audiobooks I was not sure I would like it but it has become one of my favorite things to do. It is so convenient. I am so glad you have found it helpful so that you can continue to enjoy reading. I know your moms will enjoy it too!

My reading list goes on and on but I love having my next book ready when I finish one. My TBR list is one of my favorite things! 🙂
