With all of the seemingly endless bad news the world has these days, we could all use ways to bring more joy into our everyday lives. Our mission at What a Good Day is to offer simple ways to add a dose of happiness to your day. We believe by celebrating the little things in life you can create more memorable moments with your loved ones.
Here is a roundup of five simple ways to make a moment and build memories with your family and friends! The author of a cookbook I recently read puts it perfectly in the introduction of her book. In Jocelyn Delk Adams’ Everyday Grand, she writes “most of our lives are made up of small moments, and those moments can bring us so much joy when we take the time to appreciate and acknowledge them.” You can find out more about her cookbook here. (P.S.: It has some really yummy recipes!)

Bake a “just because” cake and surprise your family by eating dessert first! It can be for a reason as simple as “just because it’s Wednesday” or “just because you lost your first tooth”. We have lots of simple cake recipes you can try out like My Mother’s Chocolate Pound Cake: Oh, So Good! or A Cheery Cherry Cheesecake Recipe: So Easy and Delightful!

Taking the time to write someone a letter lets you think back on other fond memories you have of the lucky recipient of your handwritten note.
