Practicing Daily Gratitude Can Be Challenging
While our website promotes ways to have a good day, we also understand that not every day is going to be a good one. There are many times I find it hard to remember that I have so much to be grateful for in my life. When stress takes over at work, children are screaming at each other, or you are stuck in traffic, it is hard to feel grateful all the time, right?
We don’t think it is realistic to expect to have a good day all the time, but we do think it is possible to have small moments of joy every day. We hope that the recipes, book reviews, family fun, and celebration ideas give you just that.

Our brains are not designed to automatically be grateful, because we are constantly focused on resolving problems. Therefore, we have to train ourselves to be more mindful of gratitude. There are several ways to you can start to override your brain’s natural tendency to not have an attitude of gratitude.
- Get into the habit of thinking about what you are grateful for
- Start slow if you need to and build up to practicing daily gratitude
- Track what you are grateful for each day
- Make a point to look for 1-2 little things each day that make you happy
