My Favorite Romance Books You Are Sure to Love
I’m typically a fantasy/sci-fi girl, but I also love a good romance. One of my favorite books of all time is Pride and Prejudice. After reading it in high school, I started reading more contemporary romances and fell in love with the Sweet Valley High books. Since then, I’ve read pretty widely in the genre, and it’s one I’ve come to love. If you love a good romance, check out this list to find your next favorite!

Bet Me
I read this book in college, and it was really the first romance book I fell in love with. Minerva Dobbs decides to enact some revenge on two men who decided to bet on her. The result is a hilarious page-turner that shows relationships between friends and lovers forming and falling apart in equal measure. What I love about it is that it is about friendship as much as it is about love. I love the background characters just as much as the two leads, and no matter what, you’ll be able to find someone to root for.

The Countess Conspiracy
This is the third book in a series called The Brothers Sinister. I recommend reading them in order, and the first book is The Duchess War. I liked them all, but this one was my favorite. Regency romances are my favorite kind, and this one stars a widowed countess who is secretly a scientist. You’ll find all the classic tropes you look for in a regency romance, but I love that scholar aspect to her character, which made her really relatable to me. All the books in this series are great reads for fans of Bridgerton and similar books.

Book Boyfriend
I might have read Claire Kingsley’s entire catalog. Her books are mostly free on Kindle Unlimited. She has some great series like The Dirty Martini Running Club Series, The Miles Family Series, and The Bailey Brothers Series. I’ve read all those and enjoyed them, but this one is my favorite because it reminds me of one of my favorite movies, You’ve Got Mail. The two main characters meet in person unexpectedly not knowing that they are already friends online. When they start dating, things get complicated, and the result is a super fun journey from friends to lovers.

Redeeming Love
If you like Christian romance, this one is the best of them all. It’s a retelling of the book of Hosea set during the California Gold Rush. The main character, Angel, was sold into prostitution as a child. As a grown woman, she is pulled from that life by Michael Hosea, who marries her and attempts to get her to open her heart. It might be triggering for some due to the nature of the content, but it’s a book that will grab you and not let go.

The Almost Wives Club
This is another series free on Kindle Unlimited. There are five books in the series that follow five women who all own the same wedding dress. I love weddings, and I love a romance that is about weddings, wedding planners, wedding details, and the like. The love stories in these books are all as different as the women themselves, but I loved the thread of the dress being what weaves them all together. They were fun to read and the happy endings just left me with a good feeling. The first one centers on Kate, a women who has to find herself again after a failed engagement.
