How to Make the Most Perfect Easter Basket for Every Age!
Easter is just around the corner. One of my favorite things to do on Easter is set out baskets of goodies for our kiddo’s from the Easter Bunny. I love the simple pleasure of just filling up a basket with things they’ll love and watching them go through it on Easter morning. If you are looking for ideas for what to put into your kids’ Easter baskets this year, I have some great suggestions for every age child!

Items for Upcoming Trips
This year, we have lots of travel plans, and we’ve decided to include something in our kids’ Easter baskets that they can use on those trips. This is a great way to build anticipation of the trip for your kids while at the same time providing them with something they will use. Check out the suggestions below for various ages.
0-2 year olds:
- This cute swimsuit/rash guard combo by Carters for girls or this combo, also by Carters, for boys.
- This Little Einstein’s Toy was my oldest son’s favorite car toy as a baby.
- This baby carrier is a practical gift, but trust me, your baby or young toddler will love being able to be strapped on and go with you wherever you are adventuring!
3-7 year olds:
- Make an adventure kit for your kiddos! For a guide to this complete with links to a lot of items you can include, check out my post Everything You Need to Outfit Your Little Adventurer!
- This busy board is perfect for kids who are traveling in a car or on a plane.
- This color wonder set is the perfect thing to bring along while traveling and once you get to your destination. My kids love to color, and these markers won’t show on anything but the special paper that comes with it.
8-12 year-olds:
- This family adventure journal is the perfect gift for kids who are old enough to write. You can have them keep track of your travels and really focus on teaching them to value time together. We got one of these for my oldest child this year for his basket.
- This set of cube puzzles are perfect for bringing along on long car rides or flights. My nephew is 11, and he loves to play with these when we travel. This particular set has several different kinds.
13 and up:
- This set of lenses will be a big hit with your older kids. They can use these with their phones to take all kinds of cool photos on your trip!
- We’re from Georgia and we love to wear our favorite gear from Peach State Pride when we travel. This brand is really popular with teens right now if you’re a Georgia native, but other states have similar brands you can check out.
Items that Help Kids Learn
I think learning is so important and I love to give my kids toys that will teach them something too. Check out some of these options for different ages that can inspire your kids to learn!
0-2 year olds:
- This set of letter and number puzzles are perfect for toddlers learning letters and numbers for the first time.
- This musical walker won’t fit in an Easter basket, but it’s my favorite learning toy for babies and toddlers. It helps kids learn to walk as well as teaches colors, letters, and animal sounds.
- My kids had this stacking and sorting toy as babies and it was a real hit! It’s the perfect item for an Easter basket for your littlest ones.
3-7 year olds:
- This kids microscope makes a great gift for kids who love science.
- This writing tablet is great for kids who are working on writing or who love to draw. My oldest has one similar to this that he loves.
- My four-year-old’s absolute favorite toy is this United States puzzle. It is the perfect toy for a kid who is interested in learning about our country or who loves puzzles.
8-12 year-olds:
- This Apitor Robot teaches kids coding and programming in such a fun way! First, they can use what are essentially legos to build different kinds of robots. Then they get to program them!
- This Earth Science Kit has so many fun science experiments kids can do right at home.
13 and up:
- This Brainbolt memory game is perfect for teens.
- This cookbook would be great for teens who want to learn how to cook.
- I think it would be cool to gift a teen an audible subscription so they could listen to audiobooks. It’s a way to teach them to use their smartphone that actually helps them learn.
Final Ideas:
There are also gift ideas that are great for any age. We like to give our kids items like a new cup, a deck of cards, or a favorite candy or snack. But our favorite thing to give is books. I highly recommend adding a book to your kids’ Easter Basket this year. For help with book recommendations, check out some of our past posts:
