How to Make a Refreshing Orange Jello Salad
This delicious and easy to make Orange Jello Salad is a perfect side dish for Easter, a summer cookout, or really any time you want a quick side. With only five ingredients, it can be made in just a few minutes with nothing more complicated than stirring, and peeling and chopping oranges. If you don’t feel like chopping up oranges, it is equally good without the orange pieces.
Orange Jello Salad is a Family Favorite
Orange Jello salad is a longtime family favorite recipe passed down from my maternal great grandmother, Ida Gunn. Pictured above is her handwritten version of the recipe. This is one of my very favorite dishes, and my Easter dinner is not complete without it. I also request this often as part of my birthday dinner. Her original recipe as written called for lemon extract, but we have always heeded her note that it is not needed. Feel free to try adding it in if you’d like.
