How to Make a Cheerful Floral Card

Flowers, abstract or not, are a very common theme with greeting cards. This floral card can be given for a birthday, Mother’s Day or anniversary. Or, mail it to a friend or loved one as a thinking of you card.
- circle punches ranging in size from .5″ – 1.5″
- hole punch
- white and colored cardstock
- permanent adhesive
- scissors or paper trimmer
How to Make Your Own Fun Floral Card
- Cut cardstock to measure 8.5″ x 4.25″ and fold in half to make a card base.
- Punch out various circles from scraps of cardstock to make the flowers.
- Assemble the flowers using adhesive.
- Cut thin strips of green cardstock for stems.
- Adhere the stems to the card base first then flowers to stem tops.
Helpful Hints
If you don’t have circle punches, then use what you have on hand. Coins, jar lids or other circular objects can be traced to make a template. Trace onto a cereal box or thick plastic packaging to make circle templates of different sizes.
Patterned paper would be a fun alternative to mix with the solid cardstock to create unique flowers. Embellishments like buttons, sequins or gems would make fantastic flower centers.
