How to Make the Best Baked Beans for Your Next Cookout
Baked beans are always a winning side dish for cookouts, and I have the best (and easiest) recipe for you! This recipe turns an ordinary can of baked beans into something extraordinary. These beans are sweet and savory at the same time. All you need are a few ingredients that you most likely have on hand.
What You Need
- Here are the items you’ll need to make the best baked beans you’ve ever tasted.
- One 28 oz. can of baked beans
- Corn syrup
- Brown sugar
- One medium onion
- Ketchup
- Worcestershire sauce
- Yellow mustard
- An 8″ square baking dish like this cute one

How to Make Them
The Best Baked Beans in the World
Ingredients
- 28 oz can of baked beans (I use Bush's brand)
- ½ cup corn syrup (I use Karo's brand)
- ½ cup brown sugar (light or dark is fine)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- ¾ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
Instructions
- Open and drain the can of baked beans.
- Mix all ingredients together in an 8" x 8" baking dish (or any other smaller size baking dish)
- NOTE: If you are doubling or tripling this recipe, use a 9" x 13" baking dish.
- Bake at 350℉ for 1 hour or until you see the liquid bubbling around the edges.
