Smart phones are so handy for just about everything. They are especially great to provide lots of fun through all the apps that are available. I love to try out new apps. I looked around and came up with five Christmas apps to share with you. There are so many out there. If you like apps, you should do a search and find the ones that interest you. Here is a variety of apps that I tried and liked. They can all be found with a simple search in the App Store.
Elf Yourself is my favorite! It is easy to add the faces from your own photos to up to five elves. Then it will create an awesome video featuring your special elves. It is really cute, and both adults and children will love seeing themselves in the created videos. There are some free selections and more that are paid, but the free ones are very good. This app brings back memories for me as it used to be online before there were iPhones. I remember making these videos of my family when my children were young and how much we loved watching them. If you only try one of these apps, this should be it!
This app is another one that I am really enjoying. It is a really neat countdown to Christmas with something new to experience every day. Each day it will show you the time counting down to Christmas. The next page will show a gift to open as pictured above. When the gift opens, there is a background that you can use as your phone’s wallpaper and an activity for that day, along with a Christmas song to listen to. This is a really fun way to enjoy the Advent season.
Christmas Photo Frames is one that I like. I really love putting my photos in the festive frames. You can download your photos and then share with others or put them on social media. They are so pretty. Some of the frames are free and some are only available in the Pro version. There are enough free ones that there is a good selection. I do not like that there are many ads that you have to work through as you get your photo completed, but the result is worth the effort.
This cute app is fun and good for your brain. Some of the puzzles are easy and some will have you needing a hint. I almost never figured out stuffing! You could enjoy this one with your kids or older kids could play it on their own. There are some annoying ads in the free version but it is still a fun app.
There are many Santa Trackers available in the App Store. This is the one that my son-in-law uses with the grandkids. They have used it for several years. They love tracking Santa all around the world as he makes his way to their house. It just builds their excitement! As you can see in the picture, currently Santa is at the North Pole and the note at the bottom says, “Santa is at Christmas workshop having cookie break with elves.” Each time you click it the message will tell something different that Santa is doing. When Santa starts his journey it will tell where he is as he makes his way to visit all the children in the world. What a great way to bring even more magic to an already magical night.
