Useful Tools to Help You Meet your Financial Goals Now!
There is an old English Proverb which states, “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy and wealthy and wise.” While your schedule might not be conducive to waking up with the sun and retiring early, that isn’t really the main point of this saying. It’s about good habits and the results they yield. So, if you’re like me, sometimes you just feel like you need a fresh start, like your old habits aren’t working for you to help you reach your goals. The new year is the perfect time to set a goal, make a plan, and pursue growth. So, in each post in this series, I’ll be sharing some tools to help you achieve all your goals in one of these areas: health, finance, or intellectual growth. This post focuses on our finances.
Goal: Financial Growth
Our material things may not be what bring us the most joy in our lives, and perhaps most of us would prioritize health and happiness above wealth as far as goals go. However, being able to provide for yourself and those you love and to have peace of mind in your financial freedom is something most people strive for. If this is the area you need to work on right now, here are some useful tools to help you get started.
My First Pick for Wealth Goals: NerdWallet
NerdWallet is my absolute favorite money and finance resource because it offers helpful tools and articles for whatever financial goal you might have and is helpful to you no matter your level of income or stage in life.
Need help with banking, saving, or bill management? You can do it with the NerdWallet app. Want to start investing? Use the NerdWallet site to compare brokers, research the trends in the market, or track your retirement. Planning to open a credit card? Use NerdWallet. Need to better manage student loans? Use NerdWallet.
NerdWallet seriously has it all! And whether you use the site or the app, it is so easy to use and navigate. Check it out here! Or go here to download the app.
My Second Pick for Wealth Goals: The Penny Hoarder Blog
I’ve been reading this blog for years, and it has only become better with time. The site is easy to navigate and covers a wide variety of topics.
There is content here on the staples of most financial blogs, like investing, managing money, and starting a business. I love it most of all, though, because it often includes topics that center around other aspects of finance like buying a car, planning a vacation, and locating the cheapest snacks, home decor, or face moisturizers online or in stores.
The delivery on the blog, regardless of the writer, is personable and straightforward. I’ve found that this site is great for helping you navigate big money decisions or making small adjustments that save you dollars and cents over time. Check it out here!
