Easy Ways to Enhance Your Thanksgiving Tablescape
Enhance your Thanksgiving tablescape with these easy ideas inspired by nature. The Thanksgiving holiday is far and away my favorite holiday. I love it because it is primarily celebrated for exactly what it is. And who doesn’t love a good excuse to eat lots of delicious food?
Setting a welcoming table for Thanksgiving doesn’t have to be filled with elaborate decorations or fine china. Some years I do like to bring out my grandmother’s china and the good silver. Other years I go for the ease of paper plates as seen above. Whatever direction you take, the most important thing is to create a table that welcomes guests to your home and makes them feel appreciated.
These easy ways to enhance your Thanksgiving tablescape don’t take a lot of extra effort or money, but it will make your guests feel special. Read on for inspiration!

Easy Thanksgiving Table Decorating Ideas
Leaf Shaped Paper Placemats
These leaf shaped paper placemats are the perfect base for your place settings. As an added bonus, it won’t matter if someone spills gravy on them! These work equally well with good china or paper plates. The fall color ties in nicely to other natural decorating elements (see next section).
Natural Decor Elements
Using natural decorating elements like seasonal fruit, nuts, and corn are easy and inexpensive ways to enhance your Thanksgiving tablescape. In this photo, I paired clementines with fresh cranberries in a vase I already had on hand. Adding in some mini ears of harvest corn and nuts I purchased from the supermarket complete the natural decorations.
Place Cards
I am a massive fan of place cards. It saves you from answering the “where do I sit” question many times over. They also add another great design element to your Thanksgiving tablescape. Another option is to use “Thankful for” notes that can double as place cards and a place for guests to write down what they are thankful for this year. Family Heirlooms
Using pieces with family meaning or traditions is always a nice way to personalize your Thanksgiving tablescape. These turkey napkin holders belonged to my grandmother.
