Five Ways to Make Your Super Bowl Party a Winner!
In my house, we love any reason to have a good time with our favorite people and our favorite party foods! We also love cheering on our favorite sports team, and we really love making a game day celebration special for us and our kids. So, if you’re looking to make an event out of the Super Bowl this year, here are five sure-fire ways to make your Super Bowl the greatest ever!

Deck out yourself and your space!
First off, wearing the right game day swag can really get you in the right spirit for the big game. You can keep it simple and just wear a favorite tee. Or go hardcore fan and wear face paint and a jersey. Fanatics.com has a little bit of everything for everyone in the family. If you follow a team located close by, check out local stores or your local Walmart or Target.
There are a lot of ways to make your space into the perfect setup for watching football. Check out a party store like Party City or check out the cute stuff they have on Amazon, like this football game concessions set or this photo both prop kit!
Make your favorite party foods!
My favorite part of a party is the food. I love to snack, so traditional tailgating foods are among my favorites. Here are some of my go to dishes that are quick and easy.
- Dips are perfect for Game Day. Check out my post with 4 amazing dips with 5 ingredients or less.
- Order wings or pizza from your local place.
- Check out this list from Southern Living.
- Or make it a Souper Bowl with Santa Fe Soup, Cheesy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup, or Instant Pot Irish Beef Stew!
Enjoy the commercials!
The commercials are usually my favorite part of the Super Bowl, especially if my favorite team is not playing. This year, we’ve decided to make a game of it!
Click here for a fun printable bingo card that anyone can use to play along with the commercials! You can use whatever you like for bingo markers (coins, M&Ms, etc.). Just print a card for each person at your party and see who wins!
If you want a bingo card that’s a little more specific or you’d like to play some other games as you watch, check out this post from Play Party Plan.
Add in some fun!
Don’t be afraid to be a little silly and have a little fun. Here are some ways to do just that. I promise, it will make game day even more special!
- Do some tailgating, even if it’s just in your driveway: play corn hole, grill out, and hang out outside before or after the game.
- Have everyone make predictions before the game starts about the winner, the score, the coin toss, etc.
- Make a contest out of your party foods. Have everyone bring one and then vote for their favorite and give a prize!
Connect with Your People
For us, game days are all about connecting with the people we love most. There are lots of ways to do that.
- Get together for a viewing party or even a tailgate
- FaceTime or zoom with your favorite fans to talk about the game before, at halftime, and/or after the game.
- Start a group text and chat through the game. You could even set fun rules like you can only communicate with memes or movie quotes.
I hope you are as excited as I am about the Super Bowl. I also hope this post gives you some great ideas to make your Super Bowl party the greatest ever!
